It was great to meet the team at Bristow Helicopter's new build Search & Rescue Hanger , Prestwick Airport during the sod cutting ceremony to mark the start of works on site. This latest addition to Bristow's property portfolio will extend it's fixed wing search and rescue capabilities. This is a critical part of the whole operation as the fixed wing aircraft can cover a larger area during the initial search , allowing the lifting helicopters to home in on the rescue site once it has been identified optimising its range.
